Jesus’ light shines through us

Jesus’ light shines through us
through the cracks in our vessels
even in our brokenness
we are able to serve
holding living water
in our cracked, clay vessels
shining Christ’s light
through cracks in our flesh

I am chosen, I am important – v2

I am chosen, I am important,
I mean something to God;
God has loved me, forever,
since before I was born

I am unworthy, I am lost
because of my sin, my rebellion;
but Christ made a way for me -
He died so I may live

Habakkuk’s Prayer – v5

Where do we find peace,
where is our strength,
in times of trials, sorrow,
when depression grips us
when we feel alone, in the dark;
Where is our courage,
our boldness, to pray

To share these words,
to believe as he did
in times of sorrow
to trust in the Lord,
to remember our hope;
Our love overflowing
shining Christ’s light

Habakkuk’s prayer
for himself, deep within,
for a people, a nation
not for each one alone
held for a blessing;
The spark within us
speaking to each other

We find hope in community
in family, in joining together,
in communion with God
to rise from our sorrows
to climb the mountain;
We are sure in our footing
in the ongoing presence of God
