Joyful Tears – v3

Tears of joy
welled up
in his heart
spilled down his cheeks
in the pew again
falling down, heavy
the weight within

Frozen Yankee stoicism
melted by the telling
the knowing
of Your Word
and Your love

Safe telling of
ancient stories
of faith, or hope
of love
for all of us

Understood better
by study
and communion
Learning together
deeper meanings
true in His times
and our own.
