a presence palpable, an army,
though my vision was clouded,
sensing their hands in prayer
resting on every shoulder...
 
angels in the temple
saints who love us
praying for us, touching,
our bodies, our souls...
 
we cannot see them
but I felt them with us
guardians of our hearts
seeking our good...
 
just for those moments
as he prayed this scripture
love surrounding each saint,
worshiping, in prayer...

Even in joy
after the Resurrection
some of them doubted
while worshiping God...
 
Some doubted
standing with Jesus
our risen Lord and Savior
alive, now wholly God...
 
Yet, they were commissioned
to make disciples
so we too walk
with stumbling feet...
 
We are commissioned
with the saints before us
even when we doubt
when we struggle in this life...
 
Christ is still risen
sanctified in heaven
We work in these fields
until He returns...
