the snow melting

the snow melting
the white now gray
the earth reclaiming
the beauty of the snowfall
behind the melt away
the snow melting
fading from sight
receding from the driveway
the sidewalks now aright

between sixes and sevens

the weight of the world
sin, the fall from grace
death is ever present
stalking the human race
death is at work within us
yet so is the light of Christ
healing us completely
raising us from the dust

God’s love within us
Spirit of the risen Christ
Life is at work within you
raising you from the dust
God’s love within us
Christ’s light shining
Light in the darkness
fed by the Spirit of Love

between sixes and sevens
the pagan and the divine
life in the balance
in walking the straight line
life or death winning
based on our choosing
our lives can be like the wheat
or the chaff for the fire

Earth Mother - v2

close to the earth
thankful to a creator
to a nurturing world
praying to an Earth Mother

for planting, for harvest
for watering and tending
cycles in their living
for blessing on the land

the cellophane of our skin

We are seemingly lumps of clay
but looks are deceiving
really light beings,
water creatures
with our bodies
the cellophane of our skin
holding our true essence
light beings of God
water creatures of the earth
bound to the creation

a form of water
a manifestation of that element
that primal force of nature
wash o’er the earth
each creature, creation
all life on earth
a form of water living,

Echoes of the Water

Our ancient history
connected with us
light of that first morning
still beating in our hearts
Echoes of the water
of the first dry land
the hand of God upon us
within the body of each person
the Spirit of the great I Am

Water beings, Light creatures

Water beings,
Light creatures
not merely beings of clay
formed for greater stuff
for heaven one day
Hidden within our clay
our cells, our true nature
God’s hand upon us
his Spirit within
Water beings,
Light creatures
longing for paradise
