God holds the brokenhearted,
in His loving arms, in embrace,
in our storms, in our struggles,
God’s Spirit dwells within us,
breathing life, as close as breath…
 
Christ has gone before us,
He knows the pain we carry,
Christ has saved and redeemed us,
We are now beloved children,
sons and daughters of Almighty God…
 
God holds the brokenhearted,
in His loving arms, in embrace,
He will never leave of forsake us,
God’s Spirit is within us, indwelling,
comforting us, with us, as close as breath…

We live life in the present – v4

We live life in the present,
in the steps right before us,
in our striving forward,
one step, the next step,
not getting too far ahead,
but we must not look back…
 
Our past may inform us,
the pain, our mistakes,
our successes, our failures,
but we cannot change our past,
we must move forward, forward,
ever forward, with every step…
 
We live life in the present,
each day a new beginning,
the days and minutes before us,
each step, a next step forward,
we must focus on today, now,
to find joy in each moment…
 
Our past may inform us,
teach us lessons, growing,
our successes, our failures,
but we must move forward,
our life in the road leading,
forward, to a future unknown…

They are pure evil,
manifest of Satan,
inhabiting cruelty,
No conscience, no soul…
 
They bring terror,
consummate madness,
destroying only, monsters,

They are the Devil,
evil alive, transcendent,
rage become their Master,

They are Orcs,
no longer human,
seeing nothing but bile,

Transparency in this moment
A crisis in the faith, in the Body,
Not focusing on yourselves,
On protecting the wolves,
Who have hidden as shepherds,
Devouring the sheep, the flock…
 
You must remember your purpose,
As Elders, as leaders, in this moment,
Not focusing on yourselves, complicit,
The bottom line, but on the Body,
The Church, God’s kingdom, the harm
You are doing, silent, unrepentant,
Devouring the sheep, the flock…

cardinals, blue jays,
mockingbirds in the trees,

Joy in hearing them once again,
cooing of the mourning doves,
birdsong surrounding me
as I venture outside…

Someone called down Satan,

That I am in league with the Devil…

Someone raised damnation,
That I will face the wrath,
That I wear the Mark of the Beast…
 
Someone said that I was deceived,

That my country is part of the Great Babylon,

Someone called down Satan,
Someone prayed a curse,

Trapped in the cage of Rafah – v2

Trapped in the cage of Rafah,
displaced innocents slaughtered,
enemies buried, hidden, dispersed,
amid the civilian population…
 
Lambs prepared for slaughter,
gathered into the pen, a prison,
forced into a corner, boxed in,
their shepherd now a terror…
 
Nowhere to run, to hide, stuck,
corralled, forced into a corner,
all others turning away, hiding,
averting, covering their eyes…
 
The shepherd now their terror
sheep prepared for slaughter,
lost in the world’s indifference,
caged, forced into a corner…

Let Go, Trust God – v2

We carry a heavy burden,
our worries, our cares,
chains on our spirits,
weighing heavy on our souls…
 
Let go of them, your worries,
trust God with your burdens,
bring them all to God,
and leave them there…
 
Do not return to the Father,
do not pick up the chains you left Him,
let Go of your cares, your worries,
trust God and leave them there…

Joy in the birdsong – v2

Joy in the birdsong,
cardinals, the blue jays,
mockingbirds up in the trees,
wrens on the ground…
 
Joy in being able to hear them,
a part of my life that was missing,
cooing of the mourning doves,
as I venture outside…
 
Joy in the birdsong,
music of creation, of life,
sensing God’s presence,
in that song, that melody…

Awake in Joy,
From your rest, your slumber,
Greet the day,
Because God is waiting there…
 
Awake in Joy,
For God is waiting for you,
God is present, alive,
Breathing life into each of us…
 
Awake in Joy,
Greet the new morning,
The Spirit breathes within you,
The quickening of life…

Set your mind on Christ,
Your spirit in heaven,
Cleave to salvation,

Reject evil, the flesh,
Sins of this world,
Cleave to God’s Spirit,
The way to God…
 
Set your mind on Christ,
Your heart on heaven,
Listen to the way,
That leads to life…
 
Reject evil, the flesh,
The war on this world,
Cleave to the Word,
