Where do You want me Lord

We each struggle in our faith,
in our calling,  our purpose,
in God's plan for our lives.
 
We all pray the same question,
Internal or out loud,
"Where do You want me Lord,
to bring Your kingdom to earth?"
 
We struggle even when
we long to be faithful,
longing to know God's plan,
God's calling on our lives.

Your kingdom, Your will

We pray these words of prayer,
of humility, of purpose, of praise,
that Your kingdom would come,
that Your will would be done.
 
We pray for obedience, for submission,
like Christ in the garden, Gethsemane,
that not our will, Lord, but Your will would be done,
so that Your kingdom would come.

Conform our hearts, our steps,

slow us, still us, that we may hear,
God's calling, God's purpose,
for our minutes, for our days.
 
Align us with God's will,
to God's purposes here on earth,
lead us on the path, the way,
God has written for us.

for Hallowed is God's name.
Start with God, with His holiness,
eternal is His word.
 
Conforming your way, your steps,
your prayers unto God,
to the will of God, to God's purpose,

Approach the Lord

We approach the Lord,
we enter into praise,
praise for our Father,
the lover of our soul.
 
We approach the Lord,
we enter into conversation,
speaking our desires
but conforming our steps.
 
We approach the Lord,
we ask for our daily bread,
provision for this moment,
trusting God's plan.

Talking to/with God

Prayer, an ongoing conversation,
talking to/with God,
my Maker and my Savior.
 
Falling in submission
recognizing God’s position,
the majesty, the praise of God.
 
Speaking our desires,
but asking for His will,
His purpose to be done.

I don’t know what to pray – v2

I don’t know what to pray
grieving in my spirit
sure that I am on the wrong path
not serving my Savior.
 
I don’t know what to pray
a weight upon my spirit
humbly coming before God
my Maker and my Savior.
 
I don’t know what to pray
seated in darkness
falling back on the prayer
Jesus taught His disciples.

I don’t know what to #pray

I don’t know what to pray
grieving in my spirit
sure that I am on the wrong path
