a living testimony – v2 #poetry #God #Christ #Spirit #John5 #Messiah #Jesus #Logos #Word #temple #witnesses #testimony

God was standing before them
speaking truth to them
A singular witness -
the Son of God...

A living testimony, alive,
greater than the Law, the Prophets,
Our hope for salvation
in His spoken word...

One voice alone speaking
cutting through the darkness,
A way through the waters
into brilliant life...

I have eternal life – v2

I claim Your Grace,
my Salvation, Lord Jesus,
I have eternal life
through Your blood, oh God…

By Your Grace, only,
Your unmerited favor
I am healed, restored
in You I am Redeemed…

I have eternal life,
what a joy, what a blessing,
nothing I have earned
a gift of my Savior…

You are the Messiah, the Christ – v3

You are the Messiah, the Christ,
the Son of the Most High God;
You are the One foretold in scripture,
the One who was to come.

You descended from heaven,
You took on human flesh;
You fulfilled all holy scripture;
You died to give us life.

You rose to free us
from the bonds of sin, of death;
You were the one true sacrifice
offered once and for all time.

You are seeing #God

You are seeing God

the triune Godhead

those who see me

see the Father who sent me

the Spirit indwelling

God who I left in heaven

to whom I will return.

Do you #believe in #God?

If you do not believe in me

you do not believe in God;

Do you believe in God,

then believe also in me.

I have come to earth

to fulfill the Law, the Prophets,

at the calling, the purpose of God

in this time, for this reason.

Believe in me, in my name, my identity,

believe in our Father God in heaven;

He is the One who sent me

to whom I will return.

I have come into the world as #light

I have come into the world as light

a light to pierce the darkness

to illuminate the way, the path,

that leads to the heart of God.

I have come into the world as light

for darkness surely prevaileth,

the world is filled with darkness

so far from the will of God

Father, #glorify your name! – v2

“Father, glorify your name!”

A shout, words of power, worship,

of awe for the Father, God,

forever seated in heaven.

“Father, glorify your name!”

Not words of hesitance, of anguish,

Words of life, of light, of power,

of confidence within Him.

“Father, glorify your name!”

A prayer before His Passion

Christ’s voice raised up to heaven

to our eternal Father unseen.
