Healed from sameness – v3

all of us the same
our need for healing
sometimes undefined
healed from sameness
to gain peace of mind

not of tragedy
from war or strife
from the gray, the malaise
the indifference, the blandness
in our frantic life

Hearing the Voice of God – v4

Hearing the voice of God
raining down from heaven
resounding over the earth
sometimes in whispers
speaking directly to us

Hearing the voice of God
piercing the curtain
rent from the heavens
cutting across the sky
announcing His holiness

Christ rising from the waters
the voice of God booming
anointing Him with His love
grace pouring down
the landing of the dove

Hearing the voice of God
anointing our Savior
the power in that moment
setting the whole world into order
in commissioning His Son

Leaving the water to go
into this troubled world
to spread His message of healing
the love of our God sufficient
to bring us all to Him

into joyful song - 2

the remains sing
the remnant of the people
breaking into song
knowing God is with us
it won’t be long
the Savior coming
to redeem the earth
the prophets foretelling
the Messiah’s birth.

The watchmen shout

Joy in their hearts
the return of the Messiah
coming to the earth
come to redeem us
to gather us up
The watchmen shout
he has come to save us
to lift us up.

Hope in the stable

hope in the stable
in the manger bed
in the person of Jesus
in the star above

hope in the light
that guides our steps
hope in the manger
in the life of Jesus

hope in the Messiah
Emmanuel (God Here With Us)
hope in the gift of love
in God’s gift to us
that Christmas night

Her Strides Stronger – v3

Watching her before us
Walking for a Cure
staying on the path
her demeanor assured

Wanting to bear witness
Sure on her way
her strides stronger
every single day

A Wrinkle in the Road

The words sinking in
“Shyanne has diabetes”
something unwelcome
ringing in my ear
a change forever
of our lives, our family
controlling carbs
and facing needles

So many voices
lifting prayers for her
love pouring out
pouring over us
many voices
in distant places even
wrapping her, wrapping us
in God’s eternal love

truly free

from God, our Creator
ultimate freedom
we are truly free
able to commune with God
to choose another way
we are given free will
God will not force us
to love him, to follow
to come to our Father

we are given freedom

we are given freedom
truly free to choose
to walk the streets of gold
to be with God or to burn
cut off for eternity
from the love of God
God loves us enough
to let each of us choose

God loves us enough

God wants relationship
for us to join the union
the three, God as one,
the trinity, our freedom
to join our Creator,
the Christ, God’s Spirit
dancing in the dance of love
but only if we choose this
to reject the world
to accept God’s offer
God loves us enough
to let us choose our future
