let the rubble of this age
the disquiet of infidelity
the anger of our excess
our willful ways
may the rubble,
the ruins of our temples
may we break into song
into joyful song
to God our Creator
for the coming Messiah
for the babe soon to be in
our midst
may we shake off the world
the chains of our past
may be sing to God
for our Redeemer comes at
last
