Steadfast in Faith – v2

The journey of planting

of the growing garden

from planting to harvest

the growing time between

a wonderful metaphor, an image

for the sharing of love

the message of hope

the fulfillment, the promise

living in the Christ

Patiently sowing

the seeds of holy truth

watering with the word

pruning in season

weeding, adding nutrients,

heat from God’s light

patiently, knowing,

growth and harvest

in God’s time alone

A Word of Love

The teaching for the student
for each one of us today
faithful to the scripture
a word of love

Not word for word
but living water
poured into us
that we could gain wisdom

The true teaching, love
not hidden but richly
our cups overflowing
with the grace of God

Unite all people
under the banner of Christ
walking with our shepherd
by the words he did impart

Sharing the truth,
the way, the light, the Christ
God descended to earth
going to the cross, the grace
that we may see paradise
