Seek Me and Live – v3

God calls to us

His voice from Heaven;

Calling to our aching hearts

when we have gone astray.

Like the shepherd calling

to lost sheep wandering;

Away from the flock

in the dark wilderness.

Let go of the world

temptations, false treasure;

Seek Me and live

He calls to our hearts.

Wanting us to turn

to come back to Him;

His arms open wide

seeking our embrace.

Justice Alive – v3

God in His judgment seat

ready to judge the nations

all the people of the earth

walking here below.

Calling us, as He did the nation

to repent of this world

to change our ways

and turn to Him.

Justice alive, flowing onward

a never-ending stream

brimming with life,

with life everlasting.

Love for our neighbors

as He has commanded;

the judgment of our days

our walk in this life.

God in His judgment seat

judging the nations;

the people of the earth

brimming with life

His name will not be spoken

believing lies we speak aloud

no need for a creator

all just random chance

we are all self-made

our gods

security, pleasure, power

our gods, of the flesh

not the God of the Spirit

the God who is love

our gods separate

keep us from each other

only a breath, a lifetime

these gods of the dust

seek God’s judgment

discernment of our true path

God’s love to guide us

the gods of our own making

of security, of wants

desires for possessions

for things in this life

gods of darkness

hiding our true path

not showing compassion

giving of what we have

gods of our own making

our desires, our lusts

thinking of ourselves only

gods of the dust

one true God only

yet many pull us

centered on ourselves

gods of our own making

the things that possess us

in our walk of life

search for our own wants

our desires in this walk

not of God’s making

thinking of ourselves

the things that hold

that bind us
