Free of condemnation – v2

We are acquitted of our crimes,
expunged on all charges,
We are redeemed, restored,
through the blood of Christ…

All of our transgressions,
our sin, our failings,
All of them are wiped clean,
by the blood of Christ…

We live redeemed,
in our lives, our spirits,
We can go forward,
through the blood of Christ…

Live by the Spirit,
reject the flesh,
Free yourself from sin,
the path that leads to death…

Free yourself from bondage,
to sin, to the flesh,
Conform your steps to God,
the source of all life…

Live by the Spirit,
not by the flesh,
Cleave to God’s law,
abandon all else…

Weakened by the flesh – v2

The Law, man, weakened by the flesh
fallen, failing to measure up,
only by grace, by the risen Christ,
the judgement, the law of sin and death,
defeated, rejected, our debt was paid…

When Christ descended, when He rose from the grave,
our sin was paid forever, once, for all time,
we are no longer bound, slaves,
to sin and death, weakened by the flesh,
in Christ, our Savior, we have eternal life…

We are a chosen people – v2

We are a chosen people,
molded for God’s purpose,
We are broken, shattered,
but we stand in the gap…

We are a royal priesthood,
the community of believers,
Though we are broken
we shine God’s light.

We are a chosen people,
called for a purpose,
We are to fight evil
in our daily walk…

We are a royal priesthood
gathered together,
We fight our battles
on the side of Christ…

In everything give thanks – v2

In everything give thanks,
Instruction in scriptures,
But much more, they are
Words of life to navigate our storms…

If we look down at struggles,
At the dust, the dirt, our troubles,
We miss the abundance, the bounty,
We fail to see the providence of God…

We must change our perspective,
Focusing on God’s provision, His mercy,
God pours out blessing upon blessing,
God meets our every need…

called and commissioned to do the work,
to rise, to walk righteously, to bear God’s light,

Are the source of life.

Seek God, forever,

Even when we engage in the battle

Even when we engage in the battle,
The Enemy seeks to tempt, to destroy,
Dangling enticement, temptation,
Seeking to take us off the path…

The battle is raging, even if we are blind,
When we are dwelling in the flesh,
God calls to us, a righteous army,
To become His slave, to submit…

We are a priesthood, a chosen people,
That is why we are under attack,
We must stand resolute, righteous,
Sharpening our iron, with the Spirit’s breath…

We are at war

We are at war
With evil, with Satan,
Seeking to destroy us,
Our immortal souls.

Satan tempts us,
Deceives, call us,
the way of the world,
the way of all flesh.

But God has called us
To be a royal priesthood,
To be messengers of light
In this time and place.

We must stand resolute
In this spiritual battle,
For ourselves, our souls,
And for the world.

This is important, you have a calling,
You are anointed to be in the fight
Do not shrink from the battle
A pagan society, a culture,
Seeks to destroy your soul…

Be a slave to Christ Jesus,
Cleave to Him always,
Listen to the Spirit
Breathing life…

Do not doubt the battle,
The wooing of Satan,
Seeking to draw you down
Into the pit, into damnation,
To strip you of eternal life…

had never entered Creation,
If only we approached every day,
boldly, with conviction…

If Fear and Hate
were never taught to us,
Where would each of us be
living in peace, in harmony…

If Fear and Hate
were banished from Creation,
What would the world look like,
in beauty and revelation…

If Fear and Hate
had never been breathed into existence,
We would be at peace, balanced,
we would live in harmony…

Weakened by the flesh

The law, man, weakened by the flesh
Fallen, failing, to measure up,
Only by grace, by the risen Christ,
The judgement, the law of sin and death,
Defeated, rejected, the debt was paid…

When Christ descended, when He rose from the grave,
Our sin was paid forever, once, for all time,
We are no longer bound, slaves,
To sin and death, weakened by the flesh,
In Christ, our Savior, we have eternal life…

who defeated the grave…

Be prepared for Christ’s return,
At a time of God’s choosing…

Stand resolute in your storms,
Hold fast to God’s promise,

To increase God’s harvest…

Blind, yet Seeing – v2

We, as people, as individuals,
wandering on the earth,
struggling, striving,
unsure of our path,
of the steps before us…

Blind, yet seeing,
through the eyes of faith,
our steps before us,
filled with love, with grace…

God leads us,
Into that future,
Christ shows us the way,
The Spirit guides our stumbling steps,
They each, together, walk with us each day…

Carry your neighbor’s burdens – v2

Come up beside them,
Offer them assistance,
Carry your neighbor’s burdens,
Don’t make them go it alone…

Sit with the grieving, the hurting,
Walk beside the struggling,
Those caught in depression,
In their times of need…

Walk with your sisters, your brothers,
Offer them love, sharing, compassion,
Help them carry their burden,
Just as Christ lived out His calling…

We deserve Hell, the pit

We deserve Hell, the pit,
the realm of eternal darkness,
Our sin is an indelible stain,
an awful legacy, against God…

But God has redeemed us,
through the blood of Jesus,
We are raised from the dead,
to rise with Him, like Him victors…

We deserve the pit, Hell,
but we receive heaven,
Our lives are reborn, restored,
in our risen Lord, Christ…

God restores us, reclaims us,
He redeems our connect with Him,
Each Prodigal child is welcomed,
When we turn, when we run for home…

Darkness is welling up – v2

Evil has become more pernicious,
In interactions with people,
Language that was once taboo,
Now blurted out freely…

Evil is ascendant, rising,
Darkness is welling up,
Coarseness become the norm,
No shame, no filters…

Evil on its face, spewing,
Bile from in our guts,
No dog whistles any longer,
Just pure hate…

Evil is on the march,
Terror given cover,
Timidity stokes the flames,
No Truth, just opinions…

We deserve the pit,

from the pit, the grave,
from a place with the Devil,
to be seated on high…

We have been saved,
from the wages of our actions,
Christ has redeemed us,
with His precious blood…

we have a future,
God pours out abundance
on us right now…

Christ has washed us clean,

We have been rescued,
we have been saved,
by the precious blood of Jesus,
God’s unblemished Lamb…

We have been redeemed,
from our place of sin, of death,
by the blood of our risen Savior,
who defeated the grave…

We rise with him, in Christ,
we have life, in its fullness,
We rejoice in our abundance,
in the gift of God’s grace…

Faith must be a Verb,
an action, for it to have meaning,
Not words alone on the printed page,
or sitting in the pews on Sunday…

Faith must be a Verb,
a part of our daily living,
We are called to act on our Faith,
to put our Faith into Action….

Faith must be a Verb,
not something dead, dormant,
We must breathe life into our Faith
for our Faith to have meaning…

The Lamb will Triumph – v2

Dying a martyr,
a slave to His calling,
Giving His life, freely,
to set each one of us free…

Rising in triumph,
seated in heaven,
Ready to return,
in power, in victory…

Christ will descend
at a time of God’s choosing
The Lamb will triumph,
gathering His people home…

We must persevere,
in the time before then,
Our lives must be a testament,
to God’s infinite love…

Breathe their truth

they speak of our future
what will be, certain,
Live in victory,
for the battle is won…

Christ has already
won the battle
in that known future,

victory is already His…

we are not meant to be hidden
Our light is a prayer
offered to the world…

Our light must shine
into the present darkness
We are the hope
God has promised on earth…

We must shine
to blot out the darkness
The hope of humanity
hangs in the balance…

Our light must shine
to offer hope to many
A single candle can
set the world ablaze…

We are a message, a whisper,
a thread to hold onto,
Our stories, our witness,
can be a source of hope…

We are a light to the nations,
forever, for all peoples,
Because God has redeemed us,
Christ has given us new life…

We are a prayer, a testament,
to God’s mercy, His grace, abundant,
We are a light to the nations,
in our journey, our walk…

We must hold onto,
that prayer within us,
We must let the Spirit
guide our trembling feet…

I am broken
I am not worthy
Whatever I share
Are your words Lord…

I am merely a vessel
For God’s love to pour into
I breathe in living water
And I pour out praise…

I want to be God’s servant,
To share His love freely,
To offer hope richly,
To be poured out…

Fill me Lord to overflowing,
Drench me in Your love,
Pour me as a blessing,
A breath prayer to the world…
