spitting a curse
calling Christ a bastard
calling the light darkness
when the Word was alive
standing before them
in the courts of the Temple
proving the scripture
was revealed in Him...
 
challenging Christ
The exchange became heated
They picked up stones
to kill the Son of God...
Speaking plainly His identity,
“Before Abraham was, I Am.”
Giving no quarter, no refuge,
Their lies, their blasphemy...

to bring order to my chaos
submitting my will to You…
 
Lord, breathe life within me,
Oh Spirit, guide my every step…
Help me to walk the path,
the way You have written,
out of my endless brokenness…
 
Lord, work within my memory,
Quarry the words You planted…
Stitch together the golden threads,
the tapestry You are creating
to heal me in this life…
 
Lord, bring order to my chaos,
Speak light, words of love, salvation…
Impart these ancient words,

Saturated Believing – v9

Our bodies, our lives, soaked, filled,

dripping wet, drenched, overflowing,

like cloth prayer dolls, worn, tattered,

passed down through generations;

Immersed in the living waters

the promise of Your holy Word…

 

Living sacrifices, vessels, bodies,

each week, coming before You

entering into reverence, awe,

given in worship, to be filled;

Given for Your pleasure

for Your holy purpose…

Saturated believing, on fire,

filled with Pentecost flames,

not lukewarm in our coming,

In our sitting at Your feet;

We long to be filled by You Lord,

wet, drenched to overflowing…

imparted into creation,
the love of our Creator,
manifest in love…
 
ancient words of history, prophecy,

words passed down,
through infinite generations…

We share the same message,
our one hope in Christ Jesus,
we stand in the gap, the breach,
sharing the real Good News…
 
We are alive in this time,
for this moment, this present,
to share this message, this hope,
a light to save the whole world…
 
We are given this calling,
our purpose from heaven,
to open the eyes of the blind,
offering hope to those in need…
 
We are the messengers,
a light to the nations,
we are the ones called,
to share God’s infinite love…

We are alive in this time,
for this moment, our purpose,
to share this message,
to be a light to the world…
 
We share the gospel message,
our hope in Christ Jesus,
we stand in the gap, the gate,
sharing God’s Good News…
 
We are given this calling,
the purpose of heaven,
to speak, to open the eyes
of all those needing hope…
 
We are the messengers,
a light to the nations,
we are the ones called,
to share God’s infinite love…

We have seen Him with our own eyes – v2

We have seen Him with our own eyes,
we testify to His presence, the Messiah,
the One, the Son, the Word of God,
alive, here in the flesh...
 
We speak our truth, our certainty, faith,
we knew Him fully, our brother,
God dwelled with us, our teacher,
He taught us all to love...

We saw Life – v3

We were His disciples,
He walked here with us,
ancient prophecy was revealed,
in the baby, the living Christ
God walked here with us…
 
We saw Life, mortal, immortal,
the Word of God with us,
alive, here in the flesh
Christ, the Messiah,
came to this earth…
 
We proclaim Life,
our new life in Jesus,
the Light, the first-born,
of all of creation, resurrected,
the Word alive, risen from the grave…

We saw Life – v2

We were His disciples,
He walked here with us,

In the gospel of the righteous – v2

In the gospel of the righteous,
we proclaim our faith, our joy,
our hope in Christ Jesus,
God’s power is revealed,
to heal, to save the world…
 
We share this hope,
this Good News, this message,
our belief in Christ Jesus,
we are to sow, to share,
to reap the heavenly harvest…

In the gospel of the righteous,

we have our hope, our salvation,

we are raised from death, from the pit,

we are redeemed by the precious blood,

of the Lamb, Jesus, God’s risen Son…
