There is no such thing as a small thing

Each of us are called to do our part,
We each share a purpose, gifts,
whether we think it is small or large;
There is no such thing as a small thing
in the service of God.
 
In sharing God’s message, His love,
the grace of the Father
His gift sending us His Son;
Each of us is a part of the body,
of the love of God come down.
 
We each can contribute, to lift up,
our neighbors, the strangers,
all of us are called to serve the Lord;
There is no such thing as a small thing
in the service of our God.

A crushing weight,

the truth of my failing,

washing over me

when I sin, when I rebel,

whenever I reject the word of God

Turning from His path,

the course for my life,

spitting on my Savior’s face

as if driving in the nails

Mired in my clay,

following my own path,

turning from His grace

what tears there must be

on my Savior’s face

There is a crushing weight
