Fulfillment of the promise

answer to these prayers

Christ seated at the right hand

beside the living God

The increase of His life

a gift to all generations

the shoot of Jesse’s branch

the joy of all nations

Christ come, the Messiah,

descended from David

the King forever ruling

over all the earth

The one who was prophesied

the lamb appointed living in glory

fulfilling God’s promise

for all of mankind

Thirsting for God

Coming to the word
thirsting for God
needing to drink
your living waters
to breath of the Spirit
to feel you in me

Slowing down
that I may remember
needing to breath in every day
to drink from your well
that I may live

toxic elements of life

the air we breathe
the presence of God
the word, in quiet
drawing breath from you

pushing out, exhaling
toxic elements of life
other voices calling us
away from you

Filling us ever
breathing in life
God drawing us closer
his Spirit calling us
to breath in Christ
