we can find the light once more - v3

May we remember our heritage as a people
our legacy as a nation, this moment;
May we find the light once more
striding into our future.

We can leave this darkness
the coarseness of our days;
We can find the light once more
living into our creed.

We can join together
as one people, one nation;
We can live into our dreams
of our parents, our children.

We can find the light once more;
We can stand together
with love and respect
for all of our neighbors.

We can leave this darkness
no longer its captive;
We can find the light once more
hope for our future.

bubbles of resin, of water - v3

#bubbles of #resin, of #water - v3

Bubbles of resin, of water

perfect round #droplets

pearls, orbs, morphing,

held upon its body, almost attached,

after the morning's soaking rains.

Droplets of water, liquid jewelry

adorned, glistening

gilding each edge, each line,

each capturing my reflection

a cascade of photographs.

Beauty in the intricate detail.

drawn, looking ever closer

pristine droplets, bubbles

a willing model, nervous

not moving, still, after the rains.
