afraid to pray – v2

am I  afraid to pray
Lord, may I never be afraid
to pray, to lift up, to cry out
my concerns, my struggles
Lord, may I never doubt
may I hear Your whisper
Your call upon my heart
Your joy within me

am I afraid to pray
Lord, may I never be afraid
to speak the impossible to You
knowing Your mighty works
your loving hand upon me
in all the trials of my life
knowing the impossible is easy
for You Almighty God

immersed in the word – 2 – v2

immersed in the word
in the living waters
guided forward
by the Spirit of God
on the path God has written
before the beginning of time
immersed in the word
the living water
our bodies drenched
in power of God’s love.

unity an anointing – v2

within each pilgrim
each believer
unity of purpose
ascending together
climbing the mountain
to worship in love
Zion calling, the holy mountain
unity an anointing
the oil of blessing
like the dew of Hermon
falling on each one.

my nightmares – v2

Lord, why do you allow
my suffering, my nightmares
the blanket of darkness
that pulls me down
into the pit
why don’t you stop
my pain, my anguish
where are you
when troubles find me
when I feel alone.

sharing these songs – v2

joining with them
our ancient brethren
those who went before us
up to the Temple
sharing these songs
ascending to worship
to the Temple
the tent of the meeting
under the canopy, the dome
gathering together
as the people to Zion
ascending together
one community gathering
to worship in love.

to know Jesus – v2

what Christ offered
this was God incarnate
the Messiah, Immanuel
alive, available to us

to know Jesus
to sit with Him
teaching us love,
God’s gift of grace

what Christ offered
joy eternal, with us,
all we need to do
is to follow Him

to know Jesus
to sit with Him
teaching us love,
His gift of grace
