The ache, the longing
from the beginning
the hunger they feel
for the presence of God.
They want to see God
but they see Raymond
(fill in that blank
with your own name).
They ache for love
for real compassion
to walk with God
on this journey.
What they get
is you and me, brothers,
sisters made
of the same clay.
We are to present God
to model Jesus
to be God’s hands and feet
to be His voice.
They seek God
but we get one another
our hope together
in the love of God.
