Walking beside you

Like the unnamed disciple

on the road to Emmaus

hearing the gospel story

from the mouth of Christ

walking beside you

sharing the yoke

joy fills me

with Jesus in my heart

Thank you Jesus

for choosing to love me

for saving me from death

while I yet sin

guiding me forward

to the joy You promise

lead me to paths

of love and righteousness.
