watching more closely
how He goes about it
standing at the shoreline
so different than the
world
unlike the collectors
at the edge of the sea
throwing away most of the
shells
only keeping those
seemingly perfect
on the outside
God keeping the broken
shells
those like you and me
God picking us up
from the pounding surf
checking our cracks
our broken places
the holes, the scratches,
keeping us anyway
to God we are treasures
