an indictment of too many
some part of each of us
immersed in the world
the stink of flesh
bodily fluids
polluting our lives
immersed in the world
wanting what we want
denying the need for a savior
so many of us, in our hearts,
so far from salvation
lost in the stench
of offal’s harvest.
