You lifted me Lord
out of a dark place
the pit of my self
when I tried to walk away
the path of the world
wallowing in sin
leading away from you
only to death in sin
Into your light
spared from my death
rescued from the pit
up on your eagle’s winds
lifted up by your loving hand
on your rock
I now stand
Pain in my struggles
yet joy day to day
ever singing your praises
feeling you by my side
Uncertain of my path
but trusting in you
sharing your love
in messages from you.

A Morning of Easter
All of us promised
after our days
walking the way of the cross
our master’s steps
leading the way
Going to the grave
the end of this life
yet each waking
in our own
morning of Easter
Raised on high
to the gates of heaven
living with him
in the courts of the Lord
may we ever sing

Raised from the grave
Though I will die
not fearing this fate
You will raise me from the grave
and spare me from descend
to the place of death
God you have rescued me
from my earthly fate
restoring me to you
living in your grace
Rising from the grave
up to paradise
lifted from the earth
that I may live with you
Praising my Lord
all of my days
because you healed me
in spite of my feet of clay
