We have a burden
a curse, from Adam
we are given free will
freedom to choose
We are free to turn from
God
to reject Christ’s offer
God’s arms are open wide
as the Prodigal’s father
God is ready to forgive
to redeem us from death
but we are given choice
the path of our lives

this
poem and all of the following poems are from The Shack

are about trying to understand or comprehend
the
ideas of free will, predestination,
and
omniscience, an all-knowing God.
