his body in my hand – v2

the pain in His eyes

looking right through me

giving me the morsel

the bit of bread dripping

with His sacrifice, His blood

He didn’t release it at first

His eyes piercing my soul

I clumsily choked it down

this sacrifice of Jesus

and bolted for the door
