We come into this sanctuary
with the season wrapped
around us
family, and memories
presents aplenty
Images of Christmas
and this Advent before us
We know the days are filling
commotion all around
not focused on Christ
presents, things
We get caught up
in the chaos around us
We thank you for Jesus
for the manger, for the
cross
we welcome the baby
but that’s not the whole
story
May we always remember
that the gift bore a cost
We gather together
in worship, in hope
caught up in the season
but in the world as well
May we be your faithful
servants
while we walk the earth
