Unsure before God

unsure of his free will
his ability to choose
ill at ease, uncertain
unsure before God
talking with the infinite
so sure of his clay
wanting to be with him
but not knowing for certain
if he was free to leave
or if he must stay
unsure before God
reason in the way

this poem and all of the following poems are from The Shack
and are about trying to understand or comprehend
the ideas of free will, predestination,
and omniscience, an all-knowing God.
