Unrelenting Terror – v2

A gathering, premature, focused,
on rebuilding, on reconstruction,
held during war, terror, daily,
too early for recovery…
Living under the sword,
air raid sirens screaming nightly…
 
No recovery without security,
constant threat of the aggressor
unrelenting terror, monsters,
fighting against murder, genocide…
Trying to hold the line at this moment,
blunting the point of their spear…
 
A nation on edge, already exhausted,
far too many have died already,
but the war is coming ever closer,
drones, bombs, and missiles…
Unrelenting evil, destruction,
raining down from the skies…
 
Enemies of freedom, democracy,
standing resolute against them
cruel masters in their history,
needing us to join them in the fight…
Taking up our shared responsibility,
to give them all they need to win…

“During the discussion "No Security – No Recovery", organized by Victor Pinchuk Foundation and YES on the occasion of #URC in Rome, Khrystyna Boychuk, Officer, National Guard of Ukraine, called for more weapons for Ukraine and more decisive support of European states: “We cannot hold the front line forever. Ukrainians will keep fighting, but if you want the front line to stay where it is, your time has come. We need weapons, we need equipment, we need technologies, air defense, we need responsibility. Shared responsibility.”
