able to enter the Most Holy Place – v5

Through the curtain of His death,
through Christ’s resurrection
His rising from the dead;
Only through the gate of His life
the way of His body
are we given new life.

A life eternal with Christ
able to enter the Most Holy Place;
We are able to enter
the presence of Almighty God
coming before our Father
walking with God.

gathering mud – v4

gathering mud
from the ocean, waters
in an act of creation
to build up Turtle Island
to make this land

gathering stones
to heal the breach
the tear in the fabric
the wound within the circle
a gash of our making

gathering mud
pulling threads
the edges together
rebuilding the circle
of God’s infinite love.

a fire to kindle – v3

a fire to kindle
our minds, our spirits
empowered, emboldened
to be set ablaze
all of our days

ideas, conversation
the fuel to be started
nurturing hearts
in our walk
all of our days

ready, open
to be fed, to be kindled,
empowered, emboldened,
to be set ablaze
all of our days

Micah 6:8 – v2

love mercy
love being gentle
slow to anger
keeping God in mind;
love being kind to others
moving softly in this life
bearing Christ richly
carrying His light

do justice
in this time
where you live;
do what is right
toward your neighbors
your kin,
do justice
that all may live

live humbly
within your own skin
following the Lord
obeying God’s commands,
heeding God’s word;
walk gently
aware of your clay,
live humbly every day
