God is my salvation

God is my salvation,
Though I am unworthy,
His anger has turned from me,
God has raised me from the pit,
He has redeemed me, fully,
I have been washed clean…

God is my salvation,
No more shame, forgiven,
Washed by the blood of the Lamb,
Redeemed, made righteous,
I am whole, I am reborn,
I have been given new life…

Worshipping You – 2 – v2

Coming into Your house
into Your presence, consciously;
Entering in to worship
humbly, on our knees.

Mindful of Your sacrifice
of Your fulfilling all Your promises;
Coming to earth as a man
taking on our sin.

We are filled with joy
worshipping You together;
Sharing our commitment with one another
joyfully being filled.

Going out into the world
singing Your praises;
Shouting out to the world
the saving of our Maker.

writing poetry for God

hearing a word, a phrase
feeling them flow through me
challenging, awaking within
calling me to dig deeper
sharing what I have been gifted
writing poetry for God
joy beyond description
a purpose for my life.

Release your grip

release your grip
holding onto anger,
the pain they caused
for far too long

let go of their throat
the record of their evil;
you have sinned
you have hurt
those whom you love;
you have loved false idols;
you lived in that far country

release your grip , let go of their throats
forgive them, all of them;
you want the same for yourself
that others would forgive you.

on the swings

on the swings
the jungle gyms
walking on the edge of the sandbox
running across the field
enjoying the great outdoors
God gifts us creation
God wants us joyful
within the boundaries He created
His will for our lives
Each of us different
where we find the most pleasure
for some the swing set
for others the sandbox
but neither is a bad choice
so long as they are within the boundary
the safe God has created
His plan for our lives.

picture that future

called to a choice
a moment of decision
in the present, now
what God has called us to
the path of our life
projecting it forward
to changes in our lives
picture that future
in acting no that decision
that choice you have to make
how it will change your life
every decision, each choice
on our permanent record
each one a fork
on the path of our lives
none without consequence
that path not taken
all should be intentional
the path God has for us.

Pentecost Flames – v2

Every day
Pentecost flames
burning brightly
in my life
a fire burning
guiding my steps

Sharing joy
flames within me
the Spirit of God
filling my heart
pouring out
that others may know

Love of God
rain down
flow from heaven
set us afire
sharing hope, life
for the whole world

needing too to be mindful

Each Moment Sabbath

All of our lives
not just on Sunday
living for God
all of our days

Each moment Sabbath
each moment holy
a chance to serve our neighbors
in worship of God

Nothing separated
nothing set apart
all of our days
may be holy in his sight

We must choose
to walk with our savior
to take up our cross
to go when we are called

All of life worship
each moment Sabbath
all of our days
may be holy unto God
