Reap from the Spirit

A prayer for the morning
to always and ever
to reap from the Spirit
sowing seeds of love

All in the sowing
that our hearts would be open
open to your call
ever, always, oh Lord

Listening for your message
a discernment for our path
guiding me ever
in your ways oh Lord

It is all in the sowing

The path at the end
the gathering coming
how the gleaning will be
all in the sowing

Whether to the flesh
the way of the world
or to the Spirit
the calling within

Speaking to me
guiding me when I am willing
God calling to me
to lead me in the way

It is all in the sowing
the seeds we offer
sowing to destruction
or to eternal life

Rend Your Heart

Not in ashes or sack cloth
not in torn garments only
God calling to us
to rend our hearts
to turn from our ways
repent and turn to Him
walking in His ways
drenched in His love
all the rest of our days.

Sow Righteousness

Do not sow evil
for you reap evil
Sow righteousness
that love may grow
that righteousness may rain down
pouring down from heaven
watering the whole world
with the living waters
the grace of God overflowing
raining down on us.
