Many saw the risen Christ
and proclaimed the resurrection,
the power of love to rise,
over sin and death…
 
Many saw the risen Christ,
and witnessed to Him,
just as was foretold, prophesied,
as written in ancient scripture…
 
Many saw the risen Christ,
and we are their descendants,
later-born disciples of Jesus,
believing in their witness…

I witness to the Christ

I proclaim the Good News,
my life has been transformed,
I have seen the risen Jesus,
I witness to the Christ…
 
He was crucified and buried,
Jesus rose from the grave,
disciples and the others saw Him,
outside the empty tomb…
 
He appeared to me,
I was blinded by a great light,
Jesus redeemed my suffering,
I witness to the Christ…

I was struck blind, repenting,
Turning from my path, my life,
I saw the risen Christ,
In power, in blinding light…
 
Christ redeemed me from the pit,
Setting me on a new path,
I repented of my sin against Him,
He raised me from the dead…

converted in a flash – v2

going to murder
to kill Christ's disciples
converted in a flash
blinded on the road.
 
given sight, vision,
purpose in an instant,
changed, turning around,
become a faithful servant.
 
a man, a missionary,
a legacy in writing
planting in his season
after the blinding flash.

broken, sinful, like the Prodigal Son,
repentant before our Father God, Abba,
knowing he is unworthy, a wreck.
God’s nature, God’s character, is grace,
loving us while we are broken
meeting us out on the road, joyful,
when the broken has returned…
