His Spirit speaking to us,
Enter into Prayer, stillness,
a time of silence before Him,
God is calling to us...
 
Let go of this world,
a surface-kind of believing,
Dive deeply into the waters,
in stillness listen to the Spirit,
God is calling to us...

Let Peace overtake you,
filling you with God’s Spirit,
dwell into a time of Stillness,
a space for Quiet within you;
Listen for the word of God...

may you sense God's Presence,
breathing prayer into the Quiet;
May God’s Spirit dwell with you;
May you hear God's Whisper to you ...

Let peace overtake you,

Shouting in a Whisper – v5

God’s calling us

Wisdom shouting

the Spirit joining us

out in the world;

Living waters flowing

welling up inside, within us.

shouting in a whisper

in sheer silence, stillness,

speaking directly to us.

In gentle measures, calling

wooing us to follow;

Whispering love, God’s promises,

to live in the Way;

Acting on our callings,

the stirrings of the Holy Spirit;

Using all of our gifts for God’s glory

going the way of the cross.

Murmured in a Silent Whisper

God’s message
not to our ears
speaking to our hearts
his love raining down
like the morning dew
his majesty in the skies

Murmured in a silent whisper
speaking often without words
our hearts hearing the voice of God
in colors, in scents, in richer hues

God refreshing our spirits
finding us in the wilderness
set apart from the madness
the busy world all around

Coming to us when we are ready
when we are open to him
speaking in a silent whisper
words that we can hear

Out of a Silent Whisper

God speaking
sometimes in quiet tones
drawing us in, stilling us
centering us in the Lord
speaking out of a silent whisper
from deep within our soul

Hearing his voice
a murmur on the breeze
spoken in the colors of autumn
in the warmth of a child’s smile
in the wonders all around

Listening with our ears
and with our hearts
and our eyes
God surprising us
in the ways he speaks to us

God Coming to Us

God with us always
yet coming to us
purposefully speaking
when we are ready
when we are grounded,
when we are at peace

Finding us in our wilderness
when we are open to him
refreshed and nourished
that we would truly hear
a message for our lives
where we are to turn
guiding our feet in his steps
going that we may serve

Our Wilderness Place

Maybe on the mountain
by the side of a stream
in the woods or desert
near the ocean, the sea
somewhere away from man
finding our wilderness place
somewhere to find God

Away from distractions
the volume turned low
set apart for his calling
out of the sheer silence
a voice whispers to us
only in our wilderness
can we truly hear
God’s message for us
