#thankful for this moment – v3 #Katahdin

thankful for this moment,
for the mountain rising before me
for the camera in my hands
capturing this image, this moment
 
grateful for my eyes
to see such wonder
for beauty all around us
if we would stop and find it
 
sure in this moment
to this place we cleave to
blessed to be placed
in this land of such beauty
 
thankful for the Creator
for God’s plan, His beauty,
for this universe, this place,
touched by His loving hands,
held in God’s embrace…

we must be the neighbor

their good neighbor, loving,

even the stranger, the other

offering them love, compassion

seeking to be the balm, the oil,

their comfort, compassion

the way of God, of love

their hope, their peace

in their time of struggle

hurting, broken, bleeding,

while they are out in the world
