as the signs of springtime – v2

As the signs of springtime

new shoots of our journey

slowing our steps to see

the signs of new life

God’s Spirit welling up

God present with us

here along with us on our path

to lead, to guide us

Our fears falling away

attacking our demons

lifting us onto our feet

to follow the Spirit’s leading

The Promise of the Spirit

Christ speaking a promise
retelling the prophecy of old
an assurance of strength and protection
that the spirit would rain down
indwelling in each believer
restoring our very soul
