in ME and NH, sister states.

Hoping for an end

to the virus restrictions

sharing connection, confidence

in a brighter future.

A quick stop, a parting

a promise of connection

knowing this was a fork

Such complexity, such precision - v2

within the kernel of the lilac

the bud, the blossom, the flowers,

the spark of eternity, perfection

all that is created by the hand of God

such complexity, such precision

the marvel of creation, of completeness,

all of life is present in the infinitesimal

all that is created by the hand of God

so true, mind-blowing, awe-inspiring

the completeness at the beginning

all of life, the structure, DNA

is in the kernel created by God

Such complexity, such precision

within the kernel of the lilac bud

the blossom, the flowers, the seed,

the spark of eternity, perfection

created by the hand of God

such complexity, such precision

the marvel of creation

all of life in the infinitesimal

so true, mind-blowing, awe-inspiring

Leaves of the lilacs - v2

Leaves of the lilacs - v2

Leaves of the lilacs, a kernel,

mimicking roses, their shape

infant shoots of this Springtime

awakening in brilliance, in glory,

a brightness, a darkening soon,

our hope, a yearning for Summer,

now bursting into life, our view.

Leaves of the lilacs, its branches

seeds of the autumn before winter

of another plant, hanging on their arms

a contrast of shades, seasons, of colors,

intertwined, mingling, captured,

cocoa, khaki and chartreuse

juxtaposed, sharing my view.

Leaves of the lilacs, wound tightly, ready,

for the warmth of the sun to burst open

to unfurl like a kite, a banner, a sheet,

a change of the seasons, a turning,

awakening, surging, shining,

cold giving way to Spring,

alive, exploding into view.

Leaves of the lilacs

Leaves of the lilacs, a kernel,

infant shoots of this Springtime

awakening in brilliance, in glory,

our hope, a yearning for Summer,

now bursting into life, our view.

Leaves of the lilacs, its branches

a change of the seasons

awakening, surging, shining,

cold giving way to Spring,

awakening in brilliance,

hope, a foretaste of Summer,

now bursting into view.

A contrast of shades, of colors,

intertwined, mingling

cocoa, khaki and chartreuse

A change of the seasons

awakening, surging, shining,

Autumn, Winter, giving way to Spring,

Live a loving holy life

filled with joy.

Be filled to overflowing

many gifts, one fruit;

Share gifts, your talents

but live one joy.

Shine in the darkness

the light, the fruit of the Spirit;

Focus on being, on sharing,

God’s endless love.

Fruit not fruits

All one fruit

like facets of a diamond

like segments of an orange

called for a purpose

to do Christ’s work.

Filled with gifts

but one transformation

evidence in our words, our actions

Fruit of the Spirit

fruit of a transformed life.
