not an abstraction,
a promise written in red,
in these words of Jesus
a prophecy of heaven...
We must believe...
 
Heaven is a place, in fact,
not a myth, a vision...
Heaven is waiting
A place of salvation...
This is our reward...
 
Be ready, be prepared...
for the time is coming...
Heaven is a place, a promise,
spoken from the lips of Jesus
Our risen Savior and Lord...

You create a thin space – v3

You create a thin space,
brushing at the edge of heaven,
a murmur, a prayer, a whisper,
coming as close as breath,
to the infinite, to our imagination,
to our journey here on earth.
 
You conjure magic, emotion,
opening a pathway, a doorway,
a channel for them to enter,
to descend, to traverse,
to sojourn here with us.
 
You create a thin space,
for ancestors, for others,
to smile, to bloom, to blossom,
to cross over, to linger, to dwell,
so that they might grace us for a moment,
but that moment ends far too soon…

You create a thin space, eternal,
thinner than parchment, gossamer,
brushing at the edge of heaven,
a murmur, a prayer, a whisper,
coming as close as breath,
to the infinite, to our imagination,
our walk, our living, our seconds,
to our journey here on earth…
 
You conjure magic, emotion,
more than we can imagine,
making a way through eternity,
the infinite where You dwell,
opening a pathway, a doorway,
a channel for them to enter,
to descend, to traverse,
to sojourn here with us…
 
You create a thin space,
a connection piercing the veil,
for the departed, our loved ones,
for our ancestors, for others,
to smile, to bloom, to blossom,
to cross over, to linger, to dwell,
so that they might grace us a moment,
but that moment ends far too soon…

we want calm in our trials, our storms,
Your hand of protection upon us,
for You are our Creator, our God,
You are our Savior, our Lord…
 
We long to hear Your whisper,
to feel Your Spirit as close as breath,
to witness, to follow Your calling for us,
the path You have written for in the Book,

God’s prayer longing to be heard – v2

God is with us, within us, beside us,
calling to us, if we will but listen,
if we will still ourselves in the storms,
if we will but seek to grasp the intangible,
God’s clear message waiting to be heard,
to be understood, within our spirits, our hearts…
 
God’s prayer for us, His protection, His promise,
waiting for us to see, to feel within our hearts,
His gifts, God’s blessings, rich in abundance, offering,
our place, our calling, our purpose, our path,
within the kingdom of God, His mission,
to redeem us, to save the whole world…
 
God’s prayer over us, within us,
abiding, richly, going before us, shining,
a light to our path, our feet, urging,
wooing, calling us into purpose, our way,
to a life walking beside Him, indwelling,
our own lives a witness to God’s saving grace…

God speaks to us in clouds – v2

God speaks to us in clouds,
in rainbows, in bright sunshine,
in shafts of light, in sunbeams,
shining down from Heaven,
the whole world alive, so bright...
 
God speaks in power,
in creation, in the heavens,
in clouds, in light, in darkness,
in building thunderheads,
the world is dark, is bright...
 
God speaks in whispers, in the wind,
in rainbows, murmuring, musing,
in thunderclap, in rainstorms,
washing the earth in water,
soon in light once again…
 
God speaks in power,
His upon creation, this earth,
Love of the Creator, the Potter,
transforming the world,
making us whole again…

We believe with our spirits – v2

We have not seen the Christ
we do not see Him now,
but we are sure in our hope
in our faith that He will return…
 
We believe with our spirit,
who we are in our souls,
we stand upon this faith,
for faith is its own reward….
 
We have not seen the Christ,
but we have faith in His return,
we walk in this certainly,
for in that faith is our reward…

Alive within our spirits,
our lives a testament,
joyful in a living hope,
a life with Christ above…
 
Joy fills us, lifts our steps,
of this is what we speak…
 
Joyful in a living hope,
alive in our living, our walk,
life eternal promised, waiting,
for us in heaven above…
 
Our Spirits rising, soaring,
at the trumpet blast…

Look up in wonder,
in amazement, for beauty,
for the gifts God gives us,
daily, in our walk…
 
Stop, run for the camera,
or just look up in that moment,
do your best to be present,
to be blessed right now…
 
Alive in creation, beauty,
magic in these moments,
stop what you are doing,
just breathe and look up…
