Where is my faith – v2

where is my faith
where is my trust
in God, for all
not asking too much
as if I don’t believe

why do I doubt
why am I afraid
timid in my walk
not trusting in God
to provide, always

One by One – v3

Looking into our hearts,
meticulous and probing;
Threshing all the wheat
looking for who is worthy.

No longer searching
for a collected people;
Gathering in one by one
those who are faithful.

All the world the threshing floor
of God the Creator, the Judge;
Searching out the worthy grain
to be gathered in.

all that we have accomplished you have done for us – v3

Nothing by my own hand
in truth I am but the glove;
You are the one who lifted me up
You who fills my cup.

All that I am
all that I will ever be;
All the good I have done
only because of Thee.

Lord I bow down
humbly before You;
All that we have accomplished
You have done for us.

Words on Her Door – v2

Words of comfort
of hope, of truth;
the promises of God
written in meter and verse

God telling us something
in each of the scriptures;
something to hold onto
to change our lives

Words on her door
the canon of the Bible;
offered daily
to remind of us You

Holy scripture
down through the ages;
speaking then as now
if we listen to the Word of God

====
Isaiah 26:4 (Amplified Bible) (posted on Ruth’s office door)
 “So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him,
hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is
an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].”
October 6, 2010
&
Ephesians 5:1 (posted on Ruth’s office door)
and various translations of Ephesians 5:1-2
“Be imitators of God, therefore,
as dearly loved children and
live a life of love, just as Christ loved us
and gave himself up for us as a
fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (NIV)
September 17, 2010
&
Isaiah 6:8 (posted on Ruth’s office door)
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"”
September 18, 2010
&
Romans 15:7 (Common English Bible)
(posted on Ruth’s office door)
“So welcome each other, in the same way that Christ also welcomed you, for God’s glory.”
September 22, 2010
&
September 23, 2010
In the fire of problems
passage of scripture, Romans 5:3-4 (Common English Bible)
posted to Ruth’s office door
(and not like Martin Luther’s 95 Theses
nailed to the Wittenburg church door- smile)
 “But not only that! We even take pride in our problems,
because we know that trouble produces endurance,
endurance produces character, and character produces hope.”

Sensing Your Presence

Liberated, at peace
even in the storms
gathering myself up
to cleave to you oh Lord

Sensing your presence
with me, affirming my words
grounding me in the love of God
as I go about my day

Right beside me Lord
you are so good to me
reminding me of your loving grace
bringing me close to thee

A Murmur of Commission – v8

A foretaste of the promise
of the rising of a people
the children of Abraham
all around the world
bearing fruit for the kingdom

From Jacob, from Israel
the people of one faith
the children of Abraham
taking root in the world
bearing holy fruit

A living out of the promise
of the rising of a people
all over the world
bearing fruit that is worthy
bearing fruit for the kingdom

A Shelter from the Storm – v3

More than protection
in God, in Jesus
guided by the Spirit
a shelter from the storm
on His holy mountain
a feast forevermore

Death defeated
through God, through sacrifice,
through Jesus’ resurrection,
the poor shall exalt
praises in heaven
on His holy mountain

share with others - 2

all of us gifted
to share with others
the truth of the love of God
revealed to us
the witness we are to give
to everyone we meet

all of gifted
to share with others
the grace we have been given
in the full measure of the gift
to reach out to our neighbors
ambassadors of our savior
to offer all we have been given
in the holy way of the Christ

Words on Her Door

Words of comfort
of hope, of truth
the promises of God
written in meter and verse

God telling us something
in each of the scriptures
something to hold onto
to change our very lives

Words on her door
the canon of the bible
offered daily
to remind of us You

Holy scripture
down through the ages
speaking then as now
if we listen to the word of God

and various translations of Ephesians 5:1-2

as dearly loved children and
live a life of love, just as Christ loved us
and gave himself up for us as a
fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (NIV)

because we know that trouble produces endurance,
endurance produces character, and character produces hope.”

An Everlasting Rock

Not subject to change
to erosion or earthquake
not rolling down
crumbling into dust
God ever steadfast
ever and unchanging
His love and protection
in this we can ever trust
