not the easy way the world would offer;

We are called to take up our cross

to carry the towel of the servant.

We are called to a different path

to the hard way of Jesus;

We are called to the Servant’s way;

God is beside us on the road.

Called to a different path

to the way of Jesus

different from our neighbors;

We are called to be in the world

but to follow the way of Jesus.

to be God's children, His servants;

We are called to witness, to serve,

The weight of eternity

The weight of eternity

The burden Christ carried

in that last week, to the cross,

the weight of eternity

every sin ever committed

by every woman, each man.

Become the atoning sacrifice

taking each of our place

humbled, as a servant,

climbing our cross

redeeming our sin.

We are to be humble

We are to be humble

To follow the way of Jesus

the risen Messiah,

we are to be humble

we are to take up our cross.

We are to be servants

doing God’s will, the work;

we are to love our neighbors

here on this good earth.

To follow the way of Jesus

to be His hands and feet,

we must be faithful servants

serving God, our King.
