Faith in this moment,
Of toil, of struggle,
Rising from earth,
Falling from heaven…
 
Healing rain falling,
Washing over the earth,
Our joy welling up,
In love, in return…
 
Love of the Father,
Of our risen, Lord Jesus,
The Spirit indwelling,
Guiding our steps…
 
Healing rain falling,
Washing sin, fear,
Renewing our spirits,
Our bodies from within…

opportunities for praise

within our prayers, our struggle,
our wandering in the darkness,
in the toils, the snares,
of our daily lives,
opportunities for praise,
for joy, for worship,
raised up to heaven,
to God’s listening ear…
 
within our prayers, our witness,
our confession of God’s presence,
in the midst of our journey,
a message of hope,
opportunities for pray,
for love, for faith,
of God’s presence with us,
all of our days…

Stand Strong, Courageous,
in this time, this moment,
do not move, do not waver,
though the winds may blow,
though the earth may shake…
 
Stand Strong, Courageous,
for our God goes with you,
the Lord, our heavenly Father,
is our fortress, our strong tower,
our portion, and our strength…
 
Stand Strong, Courageous,
in this time, in this moment,
in the storms, the struggles,
go forward, confident,
in God’s plan for your life…
 
Stand Strong, Courageous,
witness to God’s presence,
share your hope, your faith,
in the living, risen Jesus,
our Savior and our Lord…

Take time to listen,
To talk with God, this moment,
To be open to His abundance,
To God’s blessing today.
 
Open your heart,
Your spirit to God’s calling,
Cleave to the Savior,
Who knows what you need.
 
Breathe prayer, witness,
Conforming to the Spirit,
Adopt a servant’s heart,
Take up your cross…

A National Day of Prayer

Solomon in the Temple
the people gathered
coming before the Lord
in a national day of prayer

Climbing the platform
yet falling to his knees
his hands to heaven
praying for his people

Not so much for fortune
for victory or power
rather praying they all
would be faithful
humble before God

A people together
praying with one voice
mindful of our creator
and all he does for us

Giving thanks
and promising loyalty
petitions for his presence
and for forgiveness when we fall
as we walk on this earth

Humbly praying
as a nation, a people gathered
that we would be faithful
following our savior
all the days of our lives
