Be careful how you judge,
how you discriminate,
Because you will be judged
by the same measure,
Your words will be a cudgel,
a rock aside your head,
If you are merciless,

God will bring us into the throne room – v3

God will gather us in, to heaven,
reaping us from this earth, this world,
God will bring us into the throne room
with Christ standing by our side…
 
God, our Father, of each prodigal child,
runs out to us, sends His Son, His Spirit,
to reach, to raise us from the mortal coil
God calls to us out on the road…
 
God, by grace, has washed us clean,
with the blood of our risen Lord Jesus,
God will bring us into His presence,
our loving Father will welcome us home…

Beyond our imagination – v2

Beyond our imagination,
our vision, what we can see,
the life God has created, that Christ
has prepared for us in paradise…
 
We conjure ancient words,
reading our bibles, living water,
streets of God, angels, singing,
but we have no idea, really, truly,
of what God has prepared for us…
 
Beyond our imagination, our vision,
the streets of gold in heaven above,
the angel chorus, God’s throne room
what God has prepared for us in paradise…

Imperishable, immortal – v2

Imperishable, immortal,
dead in the flesh, alive in the Spirit,
we will rise, we will ascend triumphant,
we will rise to the highest heaven,
at the trumpet’s call…
 
Imperishable, immortal,
we will climb up to heaven,
our earthly flesh transfigured,
we will rise as light creatures,
as we rise through the skies…
 
Imperishable, immortal,
light beings, ascendant, rising,
our bodies now spirit, alive with Christ,
joining God in the highest heaven,
at the trumpet’s call…

The carnage must stop,
This madness must end,
It is too much, too terrible,
Terror raining down, incessant,
A decade of war crimes, evil,
Falling on a sovereign nation-state…
 
While the world watches, silent,
Letting them go it alone, a people,
A nation emulating Tank Man,
Defiant, standing resolute, courageous,
Against the forces of evil, or terror,
While darkness stalks the street…
 
This madness must end,
No more excuses, half-measures,
No more turning a blind eye to truth,
To the horrors being committed, daily,
Standing with this people, this nation,
Until evil has been defeated, until victory,
Until a just peace comes to this land…

Our bodies will have no mass – v2

In a twinkling of an eye, an instant,
Our bodies will be transfigured,
Gravity will not hold us, we will rise,
We will climb with the trumpet blast
Rising to our Savior’s call…
 
Our bodies will have no mass,
Air will be our brother, our sister,
Physics will no longer hold us
Gravity will be a laugh,
As we rise up to heaven…
 
Joy will wash over us, transcendent,
As we are freed from earthly bodies,
Broken clay, mortal flesh, cast us,
We will be transformed, transfigured,
We will become beings of light…
 
Our flesh will become light, water,
Gravity will no longer hold us,
Air will be our brother, our sister,
Rising up to heaven, light beings,
Rising to our Savior’s call…

Not like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly – v2

Alive
A promise of this holy scripture, our bodies,
Not like a caterpillar becoming a temporal butterfly,
Far more profound, more wonderful than this,
Bodies, our lives transformed, transfigured
Not from just one state to another
But from mortal to immortality
From perishable to imperishable
Rising up to the highest heaven
To live in paradise…
 
To live in paradise,
Rising up to the highest heaven
Transformed from mortal to immortality
Moving from life to life eternal, infinity, alive,
Our bodies, our lives transcendent, illumined,
Becoming, far more profound, more wonderful,
Not like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly, human,
But a promise of this scriptures, our bodies in heaven
Alive, living with eternal God…

Stay firm in your faith,
put on the risen Christ,
Do not put on the flesh of sin,
once you have been born again…
 
Hold fast to your faith,
put on the risen Christ,
Walk in His ways, His light,
let the Spirit guide your steps…
 
Stay firm in your faith,
listen to the call of God,
Do not put on the flesh of sin,
once you have been saved…

God will turn His face against you – v2

God will turn His face against you,
if you choose to do evil, to continue,
God inclines His ear to the righteous,
to their unending prayer…
 
Turn from evil, from the flesh,
cleave to God’s holy scripture,
Lean in to hear God’s Spirit,
speaking to your heart…
 
God will turn His face toward you,
as you walk in Christ’s light,
Let the Spirit lead you, guide you,
in your walk, in this life…

Let the water bleed within you
Open you heart to God’s Word,
Let God’s love overwhelm you….
 
Stand in the truth, the light,
Of Christ’s holy message,
Change your path, your ways,
As you walk in God’s calling…
 
Immerse yourself in scripture,
Feel the touch of the Potter,
Listen for the voice of the Spirit,
Guiding your every step…
 
Walk into your purpose,
With bold assurance, confident,
Feel God’s abundance, present,
As you travel in God’s light…

Let heaven fill your thoughts,
the Lamb seated upon His throne,
Set your sights on Jesus,
the perfecter of our faith…
 
Be compassionate and humble,
keep your tongue from evil,
let love guide you, lead you
your lips from deceitful speech…
 
Love one another,
repay evil with blessing,
Be compassionate, humble,
as you live, as you walk…
 
Turn from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it,
Find ways to walk more humbly,
with your neighbors and with God…
 
Keep your tongue from evil
your lips from deceitful speech,
Let love guide you, lead you,
in every action you take in life…
 
Let heaven fill your thoughts,
reject every evil desire, the flesh,
Set your sights on Christ Jesus,
the perfecter of our faith…

Drenched in God’s love,
In waters overflowing,
Filling our vessels, our bodies,
As the waters cover the sea…
 
Drenched in God’s love,
In peace overwhelming
Washed clean, forever,
By Christ’s offer of grace…
 
Drenched in God’s love,
Filled with power, knowledge,
We walk in faith, the Spirit indwelling,
On the path God has written for us…

God will gather us in, to heaven,
reaping us from this earth, this world,
God will bring us into the throne room
with Christ standing by our side…
 
God, by grace, has washed us clean,
with the blood of the risen Christ,
God will bring us into His presence,
our Father will welcome us home…

Like Paul, all the others before me,
all disciples of Christ through time,
I carry the gospel message,
I seek to share this light
to dispel the darkness
to heal the broken
to save the world…
 
I believe; therefore, I speak,
I offer truth in the darkness,
I am saved only by Jesus,
by God, His sacrifice,
by grace alone I am worthy,
I am reborn within my clay,
I am a child of God’s light…

inwardly we are being renewed – v2

we come before you, oh God,
drinking in the waters of life,
the love within holy scripture,
giving our lives over to God,
to our risen Lord and Savior,
hearing the Spirit’s calling to us,
in the darkness of our struggles,
inwardly we are being renewed,
transformed by the Spirit’s musings…
 
inwardly we are being renewed
we are being restored within our spirits,
our minds barely can begin to grasp
the renewing of the Holy Spirit,
the breath of God, the mind of Christ,
filling us to overflowing, abundance,
water washing over us, filling us,
inwardly we are being renewed,
step by step, day by day…
