On the week when we celebrate,
our independence from a king,
our laws were distorted, twisted,
to serve an unjust purpose,
putting their hands on the scale,
choosing sides in a battle,
with no law, no precedent…
I Dissent for their expansion
of the Imperial Presidency,
I Dissent from their judgement
giving Absolute Immunity…
We lost America on Monday,
though many do not believe this
they gave a new king absolute power
and they have life-time appointments,
it will take generations, if we have them,
to reverse this unjust law they created,
when they legislated from the bench…
I Dissent to the terror,
destruction of the Rule of Law,
I Dissent from their activism
writing law from the bench…
How can we stop their usurping
their aggregation of hubris, of raw power,
deciding for the nation with cruelty,
with fear, for favor, fealty, allegiance,
to avenge, revenge, evil present, rising,
Pandora’s Box opened, rancid,
bile spewed on our beloved country…
I Dissent for the rewriting
of history, our sacred text,
I Dissent from the rise of fascism
death of the country we love…
This decision, this rule, will be reviled,
like Dred Scott, Plessy v. Ferguson, Korematsu,
a stain upon our nation, if we survive,
this judgement will be repudiated,
if there is still an America, a people,
who hold the truths of Independence,
words of steel written back then…
I Dissent from their activism
writing law from the bench
I Dissent from their lies, hypocrisy,
claiming to be strict originalists…
We lost America on Monday,
but We the People still have power,
to wall off their evil, this new law,
freedom for the tyrants, immunity,
but we can still hold them to account
we can stop the rise of hate, of fascism,
the idea of America, In this nation we love…
