You are not your own – v2

When we are called,
when we accept,
when we fall to our knees,
coming to the feet of Christ…

We are changed, restored,
we are brought back from the dead.
we are bought with a price,
we are no longer our own…

Christ has claimed us,
Christ has redeemed us, restored us,
for God’s holy purpose,
we are revived, reborn…

We are slaves of a new Master
sheep of his flock, disciples,
we are sent to the world
as a message of God…

show them compassion – v2

show them compassion
mercy, offer them grace
shine the light of Jesus
in this time and place

offer the others friendship
a place to belong, to be whole
given them love, kindness
in the name of God

shower mercy upon them
provide for their needs
for the glory of God
our Creator and King

Hold this world loosely – v2

The good and the bad
feelings of love and hate
all the things of this earth
fleeting in this life

Hold this world loosely
not following its call
preparing for heaven
the Savior of us all

Returning as He promised
calling us to Him
ready, our lamps lit,
prepared for his return
