gods of wealth – v3

worshipping gods of wealth
of stuff, of acquisition
the lies of our nation
bent on raw consumption.

Capitalism is a lie
so far from Jesus
the accumulation of wealth
becoming our millstone.

on the wings of love – v4

We are buoyed up,
raised, we are lifted,
we soar on the thermals
on the gifts of God’s love

We fly, we climb towards the heavens
we walk with the saints
those who have gone before
who have following the Christ

We rise, we soar
on the wings of love
bound to one another
rising together

Each one on the journey with us
to be the light, Christ’s presence
to be His hands and feet
to serve God’s people now

on the wings of love – v6

We are buoyed up,
raised, we are lifted;
We soar on the thermals
on the gifts of God’s love

We fly, we climb towards the heavens;
We walk with the saints
those who have gone before
who have following the Christ

We rise, we soar
on the wings of love;
We are bound to one another
rising together as one

Each one on the journey with us
to be the light, to be Christ’s presence;
We are to be His hands and feet
to serve God’s people now
