I confess, Lord, to You,
all that I am is Yours,
my life, my hurt, my brokenness,
all that I have done,
that has separated us,
that has kept me from You…
 
I confess, Lord, to You,
that I am unworthy, mortal,
that I have chosen the world,
the flesh, my brokenness,
I have cleaved to my idols,
When you are my Hope…
 
I confess, Lord, to You,
across time and space,
eternity, the pit, the depths,
I am drowning in my brokenness,
How I need You, Lord,
Your boundless Grace…

In the midst of my pain

I hear You calling,
Your gentle whisper to me.
In the midst of my pain
I know You are near…
 
How I wish I could touch You,
to feel You present with me.
How I long to be near You,
my love, forevermore…
 
I feel Your breath, Your whisper,
across time and space.
I long to hold You,
a manifestation of Grace…

Not their sins

I know my transgressions
my iniquity, my rebellion,
My sins are before me.
They indict me in real-time…
 
not their sins but mine alone,
These are what I carry,
These are what Christ picked up
and carried to my cross…
 
I do not remember them fully,
casually forgetting God’s pain,
These hurts that Jesus carried
that set me free again…
 
not their sin but mine alone,
They are the source of my horror,
all that Jesus gathered up
and nailed on the cross…

Every sin against my brothers,
against my sisters, other mortals,
against creation itself.
All my sins are against God,
His Law, His will for my life…
 
Everything I have done on earth
has consequences in heaven,
ripples spreading outward.
All my sins are against God,
my Savior and my Lord…
 
Every sin is evil
in the sight of God,
every sin, without exception.
All my sins are against God,
Creator of heaven and earth…

How will we answer

How will we answer
the calling of Almighty God,
will we say it is coincidence
that we are here right now…
 
Will we say yes,
will we do it right now,
will we hang back, lukewarm,
will we run away somehow…
 
God has a purpose
a calling for our lives
it remains important
no matter what we choose…
 
This moment, this now,
is not an accident, chance,
God has placed you here,
what will your answer be?

a place to fill in this world – v2

We are not here by happenstance,
we have a calling, a purpose,
a place to fill in this world,
in this place, in this now,
God chose to create each of us
even knowing every bit of our sin…
 
God has a plan, a purpose,
for you in this moment, this now,
a reason for you to be right here
God can use you, even broken,
if you are open and willing,
He has a calling on your life…
 
We are here to glorify God,
to bring others close to Him,
to be our own authentic self,
even when we are broken, hurting,
We have a place to fill in this world,
a place named for each one of us…

a place to fill in this world

We have a calling, a purpose,
a place to fill in this world,
we are not here by happenstance,
in this place, in this now…
 
God has a plan, a purpose,
for you in this moment, this now,
God can use you, even broken,
His calling on your life…
 
We are here to glorify God,
to bring others close to Him,
we have a place to fill in this world,
a place named for each one of us…
