Keep God’s commands
God’s words on your lips
let your light shine
in your walk, this life…
 
Keep God’s commands, His Law,
so your heart does not condemn you,
so you can walk upright, courageous,
before Almighty God….
 
Keep God’s commands,
ask for forgiveness, for grace,
stand on Christ’s promise,
run your own race…

Our hearts condemn us – v2

We falter, we are broken, shattered,
we sin against God, our fellow man,
we are humble, we are unworthy,
of the gift of God’s grace,
but that is the point…
 
Our hearts condemn us,
we recoil from our sin, our shame,
but Christ has redeemed us, freed,
from the verdict, the stain of our sin,
He has made us to rise with Him…
 
We too can mount up, we can rise,
on wings like eagles, we can climb,
we can soar because we are washed,
we are redeemed, we are made clean,
by the precious blood of Christ…

Those who plunder,
who rape, who pillage,
who attack the people,
the children of God…
 
They will be like chaff, like straw,
gathered for God’s fires,
they will be burned up,
their lives but a breath…
 
Those who stand righteous,
Your people who obey You,
they will be redeemed, exalted,
they will be raised up on high…
 
They will dwell in the heights,
In the high places, the heavens,
their bread will be given to them,
water will not fail them…
 
Those who stand righteous,
those who obey, who love You,
they will walk the streets of gold,
they will have eternal life…

in faith with perseverance;
we must cleave to God,
the source of our strength…

God is our refuge and strength - v2

We must remember this truth,
God is our hope on our journey,
no matter our struggle, our trials,
no matter how the darkness
seeks to drive us to despair…
 
God is our refuge and strength,
Our hope in each moment,
an ever-present help in trouble,
no matter the challenge before us,
God is by our side in every step…
 
We must cleave to our hope,
in God, in our risen Lord Jesus,
in the mercy of God’s forgiveness,
we must listen, we must trust,
in the Spirit’s call for our lives…
 
God is our refuge and strength,
there is nothing, no other,
we are gifted His presence,
the power of communion,
with Christ, our risen Lord…

We falter, we are broken,

Let Peace overtake you,
filling you with God’s Spirit,
dwell into a time of Stillness,
a space for Quiet within you;
Listen for the word of God...
 
Let Peace overtake you,
may you sense God's Presence,
breathing prayer into the Quiet;
May God’s Spirit dwell with you;
May you hear God's Whisper to you ...

Dive into the depths of God

Dive into the depths of God,
His Spirit speaking to us,
enter into prayer, stillness,
a time of silence before Him
God calling to us...
 
Let go of the world,
a surface kind of faith,
Dive deeply into the waters,
in stillness listen to the Spirit,
God calling to us...

Moments of disbelief,
truly far too many,
a lifetime of unhappiness
far from our loving Father;
 
Needing but to be still
to trust only in God
to quiet the noise,
peace within our spirit.
