Life Restored

Sinew and flesh
the breath coming
dry bones alive
life fully restored
redeemed wholly by God

God’s power eternal
his grace unending
he can grant us life
though we were dead in our sin
like dry bones in the desert

Mindful of Our Sin

We will remember ever
we will ever remain mindful
of our sins forgiven
in what was washed away

God’s cleansing waters
our new hearts beating
changing our lives utterly
to be conformed to him

The bounty of his love
his grace overflowing
mindful of our clay
that we need his saving

Not by our works
because we have earned this
his choice to heal
while we are yet in sin

Hearts of Flesh

As the shepherd of the people
as a good neighbor to our brothers
so God can change us
if we turn to him

Away from the world
which turned our hearts to stone
returning to God
for hearts of flesh alone

Mercy and justice
for our fellow man
humbly before God
his eternal sovereignty

Lost sheep returning
into his fold
new spirits within us
carrying his love
to the ends of the earth

He is Our Shepherd

God himself our shepherd
no one else needed
saving each of us
lost sheep, each one
needing his protection
brought from the ends of the earth
into his good, green pastures

Into the fold, all of the lost sheep
safe in his loving arms
into the goodness of God
all of us shall be restored
under the rod, the staff of the Lord
the living waters of God
in him is our reward

Strengthen the Weak

Hear the Lord’s calling
to all of the shepherds
each of us who are sheep
called to heal our neighbors
To strengthen the weak
to gather the lost
salve for the wounded
hoe for all of the sheep
who turn and follow the master

We are the shepherds
the workers in the fields
servants of our master
all to do his part in turn
To care for the flock
each one important
all needed in the fold
all of them to be lifted up
until our father makes us whole

According to Our Ways

God will judge each one
according to our ways
how we walk in this life
the order of our days

Turn from the evil we have done
walk ever in righteousness
turn ever to the Lord
until the battle is won

At the end of our days
coming before God
the ledger of our life open
oh let your kingdom come

By your grace we are saved
because we stumble and fall
yet we are true servants of God
when we give him our all

Speak to the People

Warn the nations
speak to the people
to turn from evil
to walk in His ways

We are responsible
each in his turn
a watchmen for the people
all the children of God

Raise your voice
lift it up
shout from on high
turn from your wickedness
turn instead to the Lord.
