Stuck in our night
sorrow in our place
needing your light
your amazing grace
Seeking your joy
in the morning of your love
following the servant’s path
holding your strong hand
Away from the world
into your light
serving as we are led
that the world would be bright

Crystal Vases
New vessels gleaming
shimmering, radiant
transformed from our clay
new vessels for God
Crystalline vases,
empty vessels, illumined
only clay of the earth
our bodies, our lives
yet filled with God’s Spirit
Crystal vases, vessels, empty
bowls, pitchers, for Jesus
our bodies, our lives
merely gloves of his Spirit
Living with him
indwelling within us
walking in his light
the provision of God
Freed from the law, our burden
shackles of sin, the stain of our past
guided by God, the Spirit
our lives, walking in Him
Going forward, vases of crystal
shining vessels of Christ
filled with the Spirit
our lives but the gloves
to further his work

The Womb of the Dawn – v2
Birthing the day
from the womb of the dawn
our long night ending
new day coming to life
Into your loving hands
under the dome You created
a treasure for us awaiting
shimmering in new day’s light.

Unlike Isaac – v2
The cup remaining
taken to his lips
the stain of our rebellion
turning him crimson
ready for the cross
Unlike Isaac
no reprieve for Christ
this Father knowing
the ultimate sacrifice
the gift of his Son
His Son dying
in his faithfulness
both Father and Son knowing
the sacrifice, the Lamb,
Christ’s death on the cross

Dying with him on the cross – v2
Praying for Abba
our Father’s suffering
in the dying of the Son
the Lamb of God, descended
to the earth, the cross, to the grave
Praying for Abba
crying out with Him
the suffering of our Master
sacrificing our Brother
to redeem us from the lost
Praying for Abba
for the pain we have caused Him
to heal our sin, our death
to raise us with Him
dying with Him on the cross

Like our mother’s womb
Wrapped in the presence of God
Like our mother’s womb
the living waters, love
surrounded by God’s grace
love pouring down,
drenched in the waters
saturated by his grace
living, alive in us
Drinking in spiritual waters
everlasting, a spring, flowing
renewing us ever, abiding
living waters, of God,
giving life, flowing
lapping upon us, kissing us
washing over us, renewed
waters of God, surround us
flowing over us, alive
Washing us clean, restored
into the waters, we fall,
cleansed of our lives
our sins washed away
a clean heart to live, to give,
in the way of God, of life,
forgiven, renewed, restored
living a new life, alive
grounded in the waters
Diving into the waters
richly flowing, swimming
the continuum of grace
faith to protect us, abiding,
joining all the others, the vine,
to be infused in us, flowing
permeating our beings
all of our lives

Empty Without Him – v2
Lost, empty, an ache
the void, nothingness
all of creation, yearning
empty without Him, dust
through Christ all came to be
All of God present
in the fullness of Christ
to see our Father
look no further than the Son
We may see our Creator
in the face of the Man on the cross
sacrificing himself for us
that we would be redeemed
redeemed from the lost
