What He did on this weekend...
the power to heal, to save us,
to defeat the curse of death,
the ancient sentence upon us...
Christ, the now-risen Lord,
the One who was foretold,
followed the servant's path
and climbed the cross for us...
But death couldn't hold Him,
the Devil did not have the last word;
Christ rose on the third day
to save a wretch like me.
