Wake from your slumber
ye people of God
ready for the harvest
the winnowing of the flock
awake, your oil lit
your lamp, your witness full
ready to offer
your witness of love
awake at your post
ready when he comes
resounding in the heavens
riding on the clouds

cleave to your portion
awake at your post

Ready when he comes
in fire, in victory
riding on the heavens
to bring his people to glory

Will Christ Find Me Asleep

Am I really faithful
do I believe the word
holy in his presence
awake for the Lord
Am I doing all I can
am I giving of myself
holding something back
not giving the rest
Will Christ find me asleep
my oil run out
will I be silent in the world
when I should cry, shout
Christ will come again
like a thief in the night
will I be gathered in
or will I be cast out

Is our oil ready
are we awake
standing watch for our Savior
his coming again
listening for the signal
the songs in the heavens
the sounds of his horse
riding on the clouds
are we awake
singing his praises
are we ready
for the end of the ages
