Fear is a whisper, a shout,
an unspoken night terror, screaming,
fear is a lie, a laugh, a scheme,
To change our path, our journey,
to control our mortal lives.
 
Fear is a lie, a guttural utterance,
a kind of imprisonment, torture,
shackles on our dreams, a trap
To fetter on our future, our hope,
to hold us in prison, in chains.

We are all spirit, breath, breathing,
wind, light beings, water creatures;
We are all more than our flesh,
our earthly human limitations.
 
We are all spirit, breath, alive,
wind ascendant, rising higher;
We all are sojourners, travelers,
eternal citizens of heaven.
 
We are all spirit, breath, quickening,
wind of the one true Spirit;
We all seek our place with God, with the Father,
the truth of our existence, divine.

A cloudless sky above me

A cloudless sky above me…
moments of peace, of quiet,
beside the world, the chaos,
the storms raging around me,
my disquiet tempered,
by the beauty above.
 
The depth of God’s provision
under the dome God created,
a clear blue sky gifted,
shining down upon me
held for a moment of peace,
as I pause to eat my lunch…

A Harvest of the Garden - v3

An answer to my prayer within seconds,
being specific, direct, honest,
pouring my heart out to God;
A petition, raw, with emotion,
for provision, for direction,
for a financial way forward
to share God's words, His love.
 
A Harvest of the Garden,
of Eden, of Gethsemane,
fruits I have been gifted,
words I am given to share;
Life, light, in the gift of Jesus,
joy in our salvation, our restoration,
in the true expression of God's love.

We are all spirit, breath,
wind, light beings, water;
We are all more than our flesh,
our earthly human limits.
 
We are all spirit, breath,
wind ascendant, rising;
We all are sojourners,
citizens of heaven.
 
We are all spirit, breath,
wind of the one Spirit;
We all seek our place with God,
the truth of our existence.
